My Drone (Hobby)
I hope to publish some images and videos of my latest hobby, I'm not sure how this will go as I'm a complete novice. So lots of YouTube videos to study and how to edit them will be a challenge in its self. My Drone is the Xiaomi Z104 and I didn't relies how many control buttons I have to manage just to fly it, I now understand how a F1 driver feels with all those steering wheel buttons he has to deal with when racing.
This first ever drone: the Xiaomi Z104 which I intend to use it after receiving my license from the CAA and NBTC of Thailand, this as a first step to when I upgrade to the DJI mini 5 pro drone, which has a superior functionality in maneuverability, tracking, image quality and enhanced video clarity.
These images are disappointing which were previously publish by another user, the camera is not up to scratch and the fixed gimbal looks unstable. So, this drone which Ive never flown is certainly up for sale now before I even got it out of the box.
Key Requirements for Drone Pilots:
Registration: Register your drone online via the UAS Portal (requires a Thai SIM card) with both CAAT (Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand) and NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission).
Insurance: Mandatory third-party liability insurance (min 1 million baht) with an English-language policy showing your details and drone serial number.
Pilot Test: Pass a timed online test on Thai drone laws via the UAS Portal.
Pilot Certificate: Obtain a drone pilot certificate after passing the test.
Major Flight Rules (Do's & Don'ts):
Maintain Visual Line of Sight: Always keep your drone in sight.
Altitude: Fly no higher than 90 meters (295 feet).
Distance from People/Objects: Keep at least 30 meters (98 feet) from people, vehicles, buildings, and constructions.
No-Fly Zones: Avoid airports (9km radius), government buildings, military areas, and sensitive locations like national parks without extra permits.
Time of Day: Only fly during daylight hours (sunrise to sunset) with good visibility.
Privacy: Respect others' privacy rights.
Permissions: Get permission from property owners before flying.
Penalties for Violations:
Up to 1 year in prison, a fine up to 40,000 THB, or both.
